The Colonnade

The Colonnade or the Maxim Gorky's Colonnade inherently belongs to the symbols of Marianske Lazne.

The new Baroque Colonnade was built between 1888 and 1889. Its construction was ordered by the Abbot of Teplá Monastery and built on the ground of the original building that was then known as ‘Kursal‘ (119 x 12 meters). The Colonnade is an icon that could be said to represent the Czech spas, it is a precious example of a period building common to the Czech and other European spa towns, many of which were destroyed, deteriorated over time or modernized at some point.

Singing Fountain

The Singing Fountain is one of the dominant features of Mariánské Lázne.

There is a daily program of music played during the fountain displays that occur on each odd hour from 7 am until 10 pm with the final two displays (9 am & 10 pm), including the use of the embedded lights. Each year on 30th April at 9 pm, the first fountain display of the tourist season takes place. The official close of each year’s season sees the fountain complete its final display on the end of October or start of November.

Park Boheminium

Park Boheminium is an area on the eastern edge of Mariánské Lázne with perfect models of the most important sightseeings of the Czech Republic.

Park Boheminium spreads out across a beautiful landscape through which visitors can walk and admire the craft used in making these accurate scale models.
